FUNAI, GOOGLE PARTNER TO BRIDGE DIGITAL GAP

The Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State and the leading internet search engine, Google, are partnering to bridge the digital gap among students of the University. FUNAI ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES GET NUC ACCREDITATION

Five academic programmes of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State have secured the accreditation of National Universities Commission (NUC). The good news was conveyed to the University in a letter dated 29th March, 2017 with reference number, NUC/ES/412/VOL.10/405 and signed by the Director of Quality Assurance, National Universities Commission, Dr. N. B Saliu. Recall that an NUC accreditation team visited the University in the last quarter of 2016 for the purpose of determining the accreditation status of five of the University’s courses, namely Anatomy, Physiology, Biotechnology, Statistics, and Fine and Applied Arts. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba has approved Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th of May as lecture free day. This is to enable students participate actively in the Google Digital Skills African Training Programme organized by SANSTONZ CONSULTING LIMITED in partnership with the University. The 2 day training features the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Basic Medical Science, Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Agriculture on the 9th of May, while the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Management and Social Science and the Faculty of Education take 10th of May, 2017.
