FG APPROVES ECOLOGICAL FUND FOR FUNAI

Roads, drainages, culverts, walkways to be constructed The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an ecological fund worth N1.498 billion for erosion and flood control at the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State. The contract which was attracted through the tireless efforts of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba would see the construction of intra campus roads, drainages, culverts, pedestrian walkways and others, reducing the ecological challenges facing the University and its adverse effect on staff and students. Stop Building New Structures on University Land, Chief Francis Igwe Charges Members of Host Community

An opinion leader in Ikwo Noyo clan and father of the Deputy Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Francis Igwe has charged members of the University host community to stop the ongoing erection of new buildings on the University land. He made the charge on Thursday, 27 th April, 2017 when he visited the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba. FUNAI VC PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR DECEASED DRIVER’S CHILDREN

The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba has commiserated with staff, students and the entire University Community on the sudden demise of the Dean, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Prof. Robert Nneli and a driver, Mr. Dan Nwangbo. Recall, the sad event took place on Thursday, 13 th   April, 2017 in a fatal road accident at 135 Ezzangbo, along Abakaliki – Enugu expressway. The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba said the Nigeria University system is seriously under pressure. The Professor of Agricultural Economics made this known when members of a United States-based Christian group visited him on Friday, 21 st   April, 2016. “The Nigeria University system is under pressure. Our nation veered off academically from the 70’s, a consequence of military era”, he explained.
